The Ancestor - Tarot Card

"The Ancestor" is a card representing a creature owned by my client.

The Ancestor is depicted as an androgynous human (or sometimes Othi) of slight figure, simple grey robes, wearing a white wolf skull over their face. Always their hands are held out as if preparing to help a passerby back to their feet after stumbling or in an open gesture. The Ancestor is the Luminary of memory, reminding the living of the tradition and wisdom of the past. While the Ancestor can be obstinate in their belief and protection of tradition, they and their followers are always called upon as neutral arbiters of the law or to bring equitable resolution to conflicts. The Ancestor embodies the cohesion of the wolf pack and is often at odds with the Wolves, the lupine luminary of cruelty - as the Justice and Memory is the way of the Ancestor. Followers of the Ancestor are often called upon to oversee legal proceedings or mark important history, called Arbiters.
