The Heartbloom

"The Heartbloom" is a card owned by my client.
Deep within the tangled forests of Etheron, the ancient Heartblooms give verdant birth to the tangled growth that surrounds them. Giant trees with flowers and blossoms that beat the same as any mortal heart; colors pulsing in the dark as the Heartblooms wind their roots out and speak to each other. The stories say that the Heartblooms were first created during the Wake, that the ancient trees absorbed the spirits and latent magic from the countless tragedies of that time. In turn, the Heartblooms would impart life to the Kindred - the sentient beings of bark and blood that live within their cloistered deep groves, thriving in the safety of the adult Heartblooms. Though few people ever see a Heartbloom, there are stories of a slow, rhythmic pulsing within the great forests.
